“Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata”, as would some Italians say. It literally means “Wet bride, lucky bride” and in different cultures there is a similar kind of consolation for the “wet bride” that rain on the wedding day means happiness in life. Whatever it is, these newlyweds really were happy, but also wet newlyweds. Just as the romantic wedding ceremony began by the Schliersee lake, not far from Munich, it started to rain with such force that it soaked the guests, bride and groom in a mather of seconds. But after that moment there were more smiles than drops of rain. Location of the wedding and the ceremony itself was beautiful and surrounded by enchanting nature, but a special and intimate atmosphere that the rain created.
For us photographers and videographers, there is nothing more beautiful than positive and smiling people that are in love like Elsie & Marvin. I think that their photos couldn’t show any other emotion then that, and are one of my favourites from this year.

Also on this wedding we were honoured to get the opportunity and work with the top artists ranging from the wedding planer: Das Hochzeitswerk, who gathered all those talented people like Alma Pasteles who made this beautiful cake, Das Bluhende Atelier who always has perfect flowers, Diana Zwarthoed who knows exactly how to emphasise the most beautiful thing on the brides face, and also the superior band Mojo Pin.

Be sure to check the video we filmed at this wedding because it offers another different view of the day, and we’re really proud of it. ;)
