An iconic wedding destination

Istria

Continental Croatia meets the Adriatic in this heart-shaped peninsula. Remnants of Istria’s Roman, Byzantine and Habsburg past can be found in its churches, sites and museums. As you travel inland, the scrubby vegetation and olive groves gradually give way to wooded hills and fertile valleys with occasional hilltop villages, each with its own character. The most visited place is Motovun, famous for its Film Festival, but you won’t be disappointed if you visit other places in Istria, since each place has it’s own character.
Pula, RovinjPaladnjaki and Poreč are few out of many places in Istria that would be perfect for your wedding destination!

The biggest Adriatic city

Sibenik

Located on the beautiful Adriatic coast, Šibenik is one of Croatia’s most authentic and romantic wedding destinations. Unlike many coastal towns, it was founded by Croats and has a rich history dating back to the 11th century. The city is famous for the magnificent St. James Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built entirely from stone and considered one of the most important Renaissance monuments in Europe. Šibenik’s old town is a labyrinth of narrow stone streets, charming squares, and historic palaces that create an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The city is also protected by impressive fortresses such as St. Michael’s Fortress and St. Nicholas Fortress, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea.

Picturesque heritage town

Opatija

Variously known as the ‘Old Dame’ or the ‘Queen of Tourism’, Opatija in Croatia is a remarkable seaside resort town with a long history of tourism stretching back to 1844. The town sprawls along the coast between forested hills and the sparkling Adriatic, and the whole waterfront is connected by a promenade. Opatija is like no other town in Croatia, perfect for a luxurious and classic wedding. The first thing you’ll notice in Opatija is the distinguished architecture reflecting the 18th & 19th century style of rich bourgeoisie of Austria who had their summer homes in here. Opatija is not only the perfect place to get married because of the unique architectural style of the buildings, but also because of the enchanting gardens surrounding these villas.

Queen of tourism

Zadar

Zadar is an intriguing city. It’s not too crowded, it’s not overrun with tourists and its two unique attractions – the sound-and-light spectacle of the Sea Organ and the Sun Salutation (Sun Greeting) – need to be seen and heard to be believed. Zadar’s historical centre Old Town is crammed onto a narrow peninsula. Zadar attractions include Saint Donat church, a Byzantine style church that dates from the 9th century;  Roman ruins, columns and a “pillar of shame” from its days as a Roman colony; Sea Organ, a structure that transforms waves into mournful melodies through a system of pipes and whistles and Greeting to the Sun, a circle of glass that captures the daylight through solar cells and emits it at night to produce a spectacular light show.

Pag Island

Pag is deserted enough to give us some of the most beautiful views and natural panoramas, and at the same time so rich in culture and gastronomy! Pag is an island for hedonists who will gladly escape to this paradise in the Adriatic to exchange vows and enjoy everything this destination has to offer! Surrounded by the steely Adriatic Sea, the island is the most dramatic-looking place in the whole of Croatia. With a beautiful view of Velebit mountain and stormy clouds above it, Pag is a great place to have your wedding!
